BIANCA, ce nom ne vous dit certainement rien. Lemon Mag aime aller à la rencontre de ces nouveaux artistes peu reconnus sur la toile. Cette fois-ci, nous passons outre-Atlantique et rejoignons la Cité des Anges. Seul un morceau est pour le moment public, la native de Los Angeles sortira sa première mixtape dans quelques temps ! Penses-tu que le R&B a réellement changé depuis les années 2000 ?
Do you think that the R&B has really changed since 2000 ?
BIANCA : Ah oui ! Ça a carrément changé ! Le son des 2000’s était un peu plus « vrai » et romantique. Ils utilisaient aussi beaucoup d’instruments en studio. De nos jours, on ne nous parle que de cœurs brisés et d’argent sur des beats qui sonnent synthétisés.
Oh my goodness a lot has changed. Urban music in the 2000 was more romantic with real talk. They also used real live instruments. Now at this time all we talk about is being heartbroken & getting rich. The production behind the music is more technology based.
Quel style décrit le mieux ta musique, la pop ou le R&B ?
Is R&B or pop better to describe your music ?
Je pense que mon son est un bon mélange des deux. Je ne pourrais pas en choisir qu’un seul, j’aime les deux donc je représente les deux.
I think I add a good twist with both genres in my music. I couldn’t pick which genre I wanted to lean towards more so I wanted to create something that was gonna be in between because I love both.

Nous aimons vraiment « Summer 18 », qu’est-ce qui t’a inspiré pour ce morceau ?
We really like « Summer 18 », what inspired you for this ?
C’est inspiré de la rupture avec mon ex. J’étais vraiment dans une mauvaise passe, un moment difficile avec lui, c’était dur d’être ensemble et dur de le quitter, mais on s’est séparés et c’est mieux comme ça.
Lol, My ex. That song for me was a goodbye song to my ex-lover. When I wrote I went through some difficult times with him. It was hard to end it up and hard to stay together, but eventually we parted ways and it’s for the best.
Peux-tu nous expliquer le nom de premier EP Cool Kids Travel qui sortira prochainement ?
Can you explain the name of your future EP Cool Kids Travel ?
CoolKidsTravel c’est un projet sur mon évolution personnelle et artistique. Les hauts et les bas de la vie m’ont inspiré, des que je me retrouve en studio c’est comme dans ma bulle, du coup je me lâche, et j’écris, c’est comme une thérapie. C’est comme un reminder que ca va aller même si parfois on passe par des coups durs. C’est ce que j’exprime dans ce projet.
CoolKidsTravel is really an EP of self growth & realization. I was in the studio writing a lot of music, trying to finding my sound. I was going through ups and downs with my life, I went through a lot of hardships but music is always there for me to keep me going, very therapeutic, so that’s what I’m sharing on this project.

Je commence par ceux avec qui j’ai grandi : Britney Spears, Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys, Christina Aguilera, Alanis Morissette, Ciara, Missy Elliott, J Lo, Alicia Keys, Amy Winehouse, Coldplay, Maroon 5, etc.
Et maintenant, je dirais : Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, Bad Bunny, Bhad Bhabie, Khalid, French Montana, Cardi B, Lil Baby, Drake, XXXTENTACION, Kehlani, etc. Je pense que mes goûts sont davantage agressifs aujourd’hui ! (rires)

Daft Punk ! Ce sont les meilleurs français ! Ils nous ont toujours surpris depuis leur premier album Mais sinon, j’aime aussi Petit Biscuit, Yelle, Booba, Rouge à Lèvres/Grems, Disiz la Peste, FKJ, Christine and the Queens et L’Entourloop.

In your opinion, what represents USA for french people ?
La culture pop, l’art et la musique, le monde prend les USA comme exemple pour beaucoup de tendances musicales et aussi pour la mode je pense.
